Inclinator Company of America got its start in 1923 when C.C. Crispen invented a way to help his ailing friend travel from floor to floor. His first invention climbed stairs, but winding staircases proved to be a problem for this design. Five years later he built his first Elevette home lift, and the rest is history. Inclinator has been producing safe, reliable residential elevators ever since.
